1large heirloom tomato, stemmed and sliced into ¼” rounds
24-ounce balls of burrata
Flaky sea salt, for serving
Extra-virgin olive oil, for serving
Balsamic glaze, for serving
Fresh basil, torn, for serving
Freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
Season both sides of the hamburger patties generously with salt.
Place the burgers on the grill and cook until the edges begin to caramelize, for 3 to 4 minutes.
Flip the burgers and place a slice of tomato on each. Cover the grill and cook to desired doneness, a couple minutes or so more. (If using a grill pan, cover the burger with a metal bowl.)
Transfer the hot burger to a serving dish.
Top with half a ball of burrata and a generous sprinkling of flaky sea salt.
Drizzle some oil and balsamic glaze over the burger, and garnish with torn basil and freshly ground black pepper; serve immediately.
